Medzi Privacy Policy

Medzi is an iPhone app that helps caregivers keep track of a person's medications — their schedule, the doses given or skipped, and refill reminders. This policy explains what information the app handles and, just as importantly, what it does not do with it.

The short version: Medzi has no servers of its own and no analytics. Everything you enter stays on your device and in your private Apple iCloud account. The developer cannot see your data, does not collect it, and never sells or shares it with anyone.

Information the app handles

To do its job, Medzi stores the information you enter, which can include:

• Medications and their details (name, dose, form, schedule, instructions, reason).
• Refill settings (cycle length, reminder timing, last-refilled and order dates).
• A record of doses given, skipped, or logged as-needed, and when.
• The names — and, if you choose to add it, the date of birth — of the person being cared for and the caregivers on the team.
• Calendar notes and appointments you add.

Because this can describe a person's medications, it is health-related information, and Medzi treats it accordingly.

Where your information is stored

Your information is stored on your device and in your own private iCloud account using Apple's iCloud/CloudKit service, so it can sync across your devices and be recovered if you reinstall the app. This data lives in your personal iCloud storage and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy and iCloud terms. The developer of Medzi operates no server and receives no copy of it.

Sharing with other caregivers

If you invite another caregiver to a care team, Medzi uses Apple's built-in iCloud Sharing so that person can see and update that patient's medication information. You choose who to invite and each person's access level, and you can remove anyone at any time. Information is shared only with the caregivers you explicitly invite — never with the developer or any third party.

What the developer collects

Nothing. Medzi contains no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party software development kits. The app makes no network connections other than to your own iCloud. There is no account to create and no sign-in beyond the iCloud account already on your iPhone.

Notifications

Dose and refill reminders are scheduled locally on your device. They are not sent through any external service.

Children's information

Medzi is intended to be used by an adult caregiver. The person being cared for may be a child, and any information about them is entered and controlled by the caregiver. Medzi does not knowingly collect information directly from children, and no information leaves your private iCloud account.

Your control over your information

• You can edit or remove medications and other information in the app at any time.
• You can stop or leave caregiver sharing from the app's settings.
• Because the data lives in your iCloud, removing the app's data from iCloud (via your device's iCloud settings) deletes the stored copy.

Security

Your information is protected by your device's passcode and Face ID / Touch ID, and by the security of your Apple ID and iCloud account. Keep those protected to keep your information safe.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the "last updated" date above will change. Significant changes will be noted in the app or its update notes.
